In cleaning systems for textile machines, which work by the use of air streams and which are movable along travelling rails above the textile machines, there is the problem, particularly in rows of textile machines arranged mirror-symmetrically, that machine parts or cloth or warp beams are located in the path of movement of the air hoses, so that, even when the hoses are flexible, there is the risk of breaking off. To avoid this, the hoses are made retractable and are connected to an electrically actuable retraction device which, when they approach an obstacle, draws the hoses out of range of the obstacle.
