A method of sealing joints in a linoleum floor covering is characterised by applying a welding cord of hot melt adhesive to the joints, melting this cord by heating with hot air and adhering it to the joints by cooling. The joints usually have a width of 2-3 mm, and the method then involves placing a welding cord of hot melt adhesive of 4mm diameter into the joint, melting the cord with hot air to cause it to flow down into the joint, and after cooling of the cord (whereby the hot melt adhesive solidifies and adheres to the linoleum), cutting away the superfluous material thereof. |
