摘要 PURPOSE:To enable an optimum transfer voltage to be set in a short time, to save papers, and to enhance operability, by a method wherein test data is printed out on one sheet of paper with two or more types of transfer voltage by operating a test printing key. CONSTITUTION:By operating a test printing key, a count value C of a line number counter 21a in a RAM 21 is set to a line number less than the printable value on a sheet of paper, a voltage control signal (a) of L level is outputted from an output terminal PI of an I/O port 23, a low DC voltage is outputted from the output terminal as a transfer voltage, and a printing is started. When the count value C is lowered to a predetermined value corresponding to a printing line of approximately the middle of the printing paper, the voltage control signal (a) is changed to an H level, the transfer voltage is raised, and a printing is started. In this manner, the paper on which test data printed with a low transfer voltage is arranged on the upper half thereof and test data with a high transfer voltage on the lower half thereof is discharged. Therefore, an operator may select a transfer voltage corresponding to a better printing quality between two types of test data and set a transfer voltage change-over switch.
