<p>A cladding or covering element consisting of a synthetic moulding, for pref. reinforced by glass fibres, with a free surface and a jointing surface, has a jointing surface formed so that it bonds firmly afterwards with concrete or a similar material. Pref. in the zones turned away from the free surface, jointing materials are embedded so that they project from the jointing surface. The mouldings has >=1 annular spigot and a leg extending from this which is flanged over to cover the end face of the concrete pipe. The moulding may have the base from of a plate or form the cladding of the bottom of a concrete shaft and have a drain hole. The design finds wide application in civil engineering to impede the too rapid destruction of concrete pipes by aggressive effluents.</p> |
