The machine housing is square and is of low slung construction. A partition running across the longitudinal axis divides it into two different sized chamber os which one, preferably the larger chamber contains the detachable dust container while the other takes the motor fan and cable drum for the leads. The larger dust container chamber can be closed by a lid which at the same time both holds the lid-like dust filter and guides the suction air flow. The centre of gravity is now so low that when the machine is drawn along by the hose there is no danger of it tipping up. The dust container is approx. the size of the larger chamber giving a large cleaning capacity.
