The joint construction is esp. for L-sectioned magnetic rails in high-speed tracks, comprising stator or magnet anchor rail, guide-rail and emergency running rail. Two or more intermediate rail pieces (11-15) are spaced out in gaps (8) formed by two magnetic rails (5, 9), dividing them into small gaps (10). Clamping profiles (18-22) are fixed inside these, at an interval, without screws protruding. Intervals and gaps are filled with elastomer material. An abutment fishplate again at an interval, covers the joint gap length inside the clamps, being displaceably connected to the intermediate pieces, clamps and one rail by screws (32, 33) sunk in slots, and firmly screwed to the other rail. The slot for first rail connected is long enough to allow for expansion. This reduces magnetic field interruption, and provides smooth, quiet travel over joints.
|
