<p>The film dryer has the film (1) held in special clamps (2) spaced from the transport belt (3) to allow the air to circulate around the film. The belt is looped through the dryer in successive adjacent drying chambers, with a warm air distribution duct (4) providing dry warm air via an array of angled jets (5). The drying chambers are so arranged that air flows from one to the other via connecting chambers (7) and out via vent holes (9). This allows an efficient drying action, with the wet film predryed by used air and finishing by fresh dry air.</p> |
