INTERPOLATION SYSTEM FOR CHARACTER PATTERN

PURPOSE:To secure the simple and high-speed processing for the high-degree interpolation by given decision to the allotment for the partial pattern to receive the interpolation to the central dot in reference to the ambient dots and then memorizing the output of decision into the partial pattern memory for output. CONSTITUTION:The signals are applied to shift registers A, B, C, D and E each via signal line 61, and then the dot pattern equivalent to 5 dot lines. On the other hand, the data to which the magnification is desired and the data to be referred to are read into registers A, B, D and E each. Then address converting devices ADC1-4 give the decision to the allotment way for the partial pattern to receive the interpolation to the central dot in reference to the ambient dots. And the interpolation connected to the decision output in 1:1 ratio or the interpolation-magnified information is memorized in partial pattern memories SP1-SP4, and the output of the memory is sent to OR circuit 66. In this way, the high-degree interpolation can be processed in a simple and high-speed way.
