<p>The pump consists of a stepped piston with two diameters (41, 42) which fit in bores in a housing (33). The housing is mounted on top of a container with the fluid to be sprayed. The piston is held in the up position by a spring (37). When the piston is depressed by the knob (36), the large diameter of the piston moves in a bore (44). After a short travel, the small diameter of the piston enters the matching bore (45) so that the air and fluid in this bore are forced out of the spray jet (40). During the up stroke of the piston the liquid is sucked up through a tube (38).</p> |
