Electrostatic dust filter - with ionisation stage preceding separation stage with activated carbon lining

An electrostatic filter separates contaminant particles from dust laden media by passing them between two parallel electrode separator plates. In a first (ionisation) stage, the particles are charged by ionisation opposite to the charge on the separator electrodes. In the second (separation) stage, the electrodes are lined with an activated carbon layer over an insulating film. This removes even odoriferous matter from the filtered gas stream and firmly retains all separated particles. It offers a negligibly small resistance to the gas flow. The modular design offers advantages in mfr., assembly and service.
