Method for the fireproofing of synthetic fiber material

The invention provides a fireproofing composition which contains at least (a) a bromine compound of the formula <IMAGE> wherein A1 and A2 are cycloalkyl, R is alkylene, m and n each are an integer from 2 to 7, and p is an integer from 1 to 5; (b) optionally a brominated cycloalkane; (c) a dispersing agent; (d) optionally a protective colloid; and (e) optionally water. This fireproofing composition is used for fireproofing synthetic fiber material.
