<p>S P E C I F I C A T I O N A tank-trailer and safety step assembly comprising a tank containing anhydrous ammonia, a trailer disposed beneath and supporting said tank, at least one platform disposed alongside said tank on which an operator can stand while loosening or tightening valves above said tank and while mounting and dismounting form said tank with a hose containing anhydrous ammonia in his hand, and a platform attachment unit comprising a pair of band modules extending around and tightenable tightly against said tank for the rigid mounting of the platform and one or more handles mounted on said band modules above said platform, the platform, having a step mounted therebeneath in uses where there is room without interference from said trailer.</p> |
