PURPOSE:To improve the exhaust energy efficiency of a liquid jet recording head, equalize the diameter of liquid droplets and improve the recording quality thereof by forming openings of material cohesively formed with films on the peripheral edges of the openings communicating with the respective liquid chambers for containing recording liquids for a non-impact recorder. CONSTITUTION:The recording head 4 of a non-impact recorder is formed by bonding a flat plate 2 cut with a plurality of long grooves to become liquid chambers to a flat plate 3 provided with a plurality of electric-to-heat converters. Films 6 are formed cohesively on the peripheral end surfaces 4a of openings as seen from an arrow P of the head structure 4 thus formed by means of metal, metallic oxide, metallic boride, organic comound, etc. by a vacuum deposition, sputtering, ion planting vapor phase growth, plasma polymerization processes or the like. Thus, the openings formed at the heat structure 4 are gradually reduced and simultaneously equalized to uniform circular shape. When these openings 51, 52, 53, 54, etc. are used as liquid exhaust orifices, liquid droplets of uniform diameter are exhausted therefrom with less energy. |
