PURPOSE:To miniaturize an air speaker and also to improve sound quality by floating a vibration part by forming a squeeze film. CONSTITUTION:Around the external circumference of center pole 13 of the magnetic circuit composed of main yoke 10, magnet 11 and ring yoke 12, vibrating cylinder 9 made of ferrite, etc., is arranged and bobbin 8 wound with voice coil 6 is inserted between vibrating cylinder 9 and yoke 12. Applying a high-frequency voltage out of the audible range across the speaker formed in this way causes vibrating cylinder 9 to vibrate, and consequently air between the inner wall of bobbin 8 and the outer wall of vibrating cylinder 9 is suddenly compressed to form a squeeze film, so that bobbin 8 will float from the surface of vibrating cylinder 9, i.g. center pole 13 in the air by the air pressure of this squeeze film. In this way, a miniature air speaker of high quality can be obtained which reproduces an original sound with fidelity. |
