PURPOSE:To improve discharge capacity by using the positive electrode which is obtained by punching-out the paste which is prepared by kneading, at a specific temperature, the mixture of graphite powder, burned manganese dioxide, and polytetrafluoroethylene, each in specific amount. CONSTITUTION:A positive electrode 1 is formed by rolling and punching-out the paste described below into a desired form. Said paste is obtained by mixing the mixture, in a temperature range of 100-320 deg.C by a kneader, of manganese dioxide of which contained moisture is removed by burning at 250-450 deg.C, graphite powder in 6.2-8.6% by mixing amount, and polytetrafluoroethylene as bonding agent. For example, a positive electrode 1 is formed as follows: Paste is formed by kneading at 200 deg.C, a mixture of electrolytic manganese dioxide 87.5 parts by weight after burning at 360 deg.C for 9 hours, graphite powder 7.5 parts by weight, and polytetrafluoroethylene powder 5 parts by weight. Said paste is rolled at 150 deg.C and punched- out into 0.5mmphi. Thus, a thin-shaped positive electrode 1 without using supporting bodies can be obtained without using water in kneading and discharge capacity can be improved. |
