Electrical cord strain relief bushing - with locking wedge slidable over cord in U=shaped trough in panel aperture

A moulded plastics bushing to fit a circular panel aperture comprises a U-shaped body with an axial cord-receiving trough, and a longitudinally arcuate wedge to be placed on the cord and slid into the remaining part of the aperture. The wedge has a front to rear tapered top supporting a pair of arcuate tapered flexible wings to flex downwardly as the wedge is fitted and to engage behind the aperture wall to resist removal of the bushing. Barbs in the trough widen towards the bottom and are mutually longitudinally offset to grip the cord as it is pressed into the trough by the wedge. The bushing can be assembled without special tools and does not severely crimp the cord.
