Panels made from mixt. of gypsum and fibres - in continuous plant with rapid drainage of water from pressed panels

The plant consists of a spreading machine(a) for the mixts.; a water spraying unit(b); and a press and dewatering machine(c). An endless sieve belt(d) travels round rollers and through machines (a,b,c). The spray unit(b) consists of a row of water outlet nozzles, pref. with individual control, and located above belt(d), whereas a row of suction boxes is located below belt(d) in unit(b). The press(c) consists of a travelling plate with a second endless drainage belt(c1) located underneath and travelling together with belt(d). Belt(c1) pref. consists of a rubber or plastic belt with drainage grooves and supporting a wire mesh belt. System provides easy removal of the water when making panels from gypsum mixed with fibres, esp. paper or waste paper.
