PURPOSE:To provide processed pulp of ''ume'' (Japanese plum) suitable for a tea cake, toast jam, etc., by boiling crushed ''ume'' pulp together with various seasonings and colorants. CONSTITUTION:Fresh ''ume'' pulp or seasoned ''ume'' pulp obtained by desalting pickled ''ume'' fruits with water and removing the seeds therefrom after draining, is mixed with chopped leaves of beefsteak plant or parched sesame, and boiled over a slow fire. The mixture is further boiled adding sugar, and thoroughly kneaded, if necessary adding a nutritious material such as peanut, almond, chestnut, etc. or a flavoring ingredient such as ''yuzu'' (peel of Chinese lemon), lemon, ginger, etc. |
