<p>The load such as a pleasure cruiser is carried by a skid (21) and boom (22) joined by a beam (25). The skid can be either pushed off the lorry by tipping over the axle (16) or can be lifted clear of the back of the lorry. The load carrier is moved by a bracket (8) which has an auxiliary arm (9) with a hook on its free end to take a winch line to the load, and a principal arm (7), at right angles to the auxiliary arm, which is telescopic by means of an internal jack. The bracket (8) is articulated about a point (6) above the rear vehicle wheels by the power jack (12).</p> |
