PURPOSE:To prepare icecream having uniform consistency and improved qualities, by controlling the number of revolutions of a stirrer with a light-emitting element and a light receptor. CONSTITUTION:An icecream stirrer 7 in a freezing chamber 3 is connected to a driving shaft 9 and driven by a motor 12 through a belt 11 and a pulley 10. A light- emitting element 13 is disposed at one side of the pulley, and a light-recieving element 14 is on the other side, so that the light emitting from the element 13 is interrupted intermittently with the pulley 10. When the temperature of the icecream cooled by the evaporation pipes 4 in the freezing chamber 3 becomes too low, and the revolution of the pulley 10 is slowed down below a preset level, the refrigerator 5 is stopped, and when the icecream is warmed and the revolution of the pulley 10 rises above a preset level, the refrigerator 5 is started again. |
