PURPOSE:To stabilize the performance of discharge and improve that of storage by arraging the polyorefin resin film containing calcium hydroxide between the positive electrode of silver oxide and the separator. CONSTITUTION:For example, the positive electrode 2 consists of the mixture in which silver oxide, manganese dioxide, phosphorus-type graphite are mixed at a weight ratio of 90 to 7 to 3. This is compressed in the positive electrode container 2 and faces the separator 5 consisting of semi-transparent cellophane. The polyorefin resin film 4 containing calcium hydroxide which acts as both the positive electrode liquid containing agent and spacer is inserted between them. This resin film 4, for example, consists of polyethylene. The contant of calcium hydroxide is 1-5 weight percentage and the film thickness is less than 100mu. As a result, the oxidation resistance of the cellophane separator 5 is protected by the resin film 4 with excellent moisture absorption and oxidation resistance and the surfacial absorption of electrolyte is improved. Its wetting state is also maintained. The performance of discharge is stabilized and that of storage is improved. |
