A hydraulic brake control valve for a trailer has a spring-loaded distribution valve (1) which is sprung into the brake priority setting. Here the fluid from the pump (P) is fed into the pressure reservoir (2) via a non-return valve (R) and to other hydraulic accessories (H) via a flow restriction. When the reservoir has sufficient pressure a monitoring valve (6) operates a solenoid (8) to pull the distribution valve into a second setting in which the brakes and other circuits are equally supplied. The spring distribution valves provide a rapid acting control to ensure that as soon as the reservoir loses pressure, through braking, the brake priority setting is activated.
|
