PURPOSE:To obtain a titled battery which shows constant discharge voltage and which does not increase the internal resistance when it is stored for a long period of time by covering the exterior surface of argentic oxide with the reduction layer mainly consisting of argentous oxide are re-coating the external surface with a specific conductive layer. CONSTITUTION:The positive electrode mixture 1 is formed by coating the external surface of the inner layer 2 mainly consisting of argentic oxide with the reduction layer 3 mainly argentous oxide and the conductive coat 4 whose oxidation resistance to argentic oxide is larger that that of silver is coated on the exterior surface. The coat 4 is formed using the conductive oxides such as lead dioxide, bismuth dioxide, and tin dioxide that are not oxidized by argentic oxide or the metals such as gold, platium, palladium, and iridium that are more precious than silver. The coat 4 is formed by coating the dispersant liquid of conductive material, making it adhere by being immersed into the alkaline liquid in which the above metallic salt is solved, oxidizing it, or pressing the dust of the above materials. This prevents two- stage discharge and makes voltage constant. This also permits the conductive layer to be hard to be oxidized and eliminates the need for the increase of the internal resistance of a positive electrode when it is stored for a long period of time. |
