PURPOSE:To prevent overrevolution of an engine, by electrically detecting its overrevolution and shorting a charging current circuit from a power source to a condenser. CONSTITUTION:The second discharging circuit C5, including a second discharging element 34, is connected at a point 32 in the way from a power source to a condenser 16 of charging circuit C1 and a discharging element (SCR) 20 of discharging circuit C4. As the engine revolution increases, the signal from an overrevolution detector, including a frequency-voltage converter 36, turns on the second discharging element (SCR) 34 to short a generating coil 12 and deenergizes the condenser 16. Subsequently an ignition plug does not arc and the engine revolution decreases. As the output signal of converter 36 drops below the reference level, the element 34 is again turned off to return to the normal state of ignition. |
