PURPOSE:To reduce light losses by using a magneto-optical effect plate and various crystal plates. CONSTITUTION:The 1st optical system A1 consisting of a converging lens F, double refractive crystal plates B1, B2, a magneto-optical effect plate D and a rotatory or anisotropic crystal plate E is disposed between the 2nd optical system A2 provided with optical guides K1-K3, K5 and the 3rd optical system A3 provided with an optical guide K4. With this arrangement, the light L1 which has entered the optical guide K1 and the has two linearly polarized light components whose polarization directions have mutually orthogonal relations passes through the optical paths mutually spaced in the Y-axis direction between the double refractive crystal plates B1, B2 and emits from the optical guide K4. On the other hand, the light L2 having entered the optical guide K4 passes through the optical paths mutually spaced in the Y-axis direction after the lens F side from the double refractive crystal plate B2 and enters the optical guides K2, K3, thence it emits from the optical guide K5. |
