<p>The device is for fitting and guiding a front mower to a single axle tractor. It consists of a forwards pointing boom with a mowing beam which is set forward by a head bearing and is driven by a belt drive. At its rear end, the boom is fixed to a pulling jaw of the tractor and at the other end, it is fixed to the front push jaw of the tractor. The boom is supported in the pulling jaw of the tractor so that it can pivot freely about a vertical axis in the plane of symmetry of the tractor. The boom is also hinged to the push jaw so that it can swing freely about a horizontal axis, also in the plane of symmetry of the tractor.</p> |
