PURPOSE:To confirm the approximate value of a counted value by a counting device without seeing a display unit by counting at every operation of a switch and generating a confirming sound different depending upon the counted value. CONSTITUTION:A switch S1 is operated to display a counting mode, and a switch S2 is operated then to set a counting enable state. Thus, a counter 12 counts at every operation of a count switch S3. Since the counted value in the counter 12 does not initially reach the specified value in the memory 16, a counting sound generator 18a is driven at every operation of the switch S3 to generate a counted sound A by a generator 20. When the counting is advanced to cause the counted value to become the specified value stored in the memory 16, a coincidence signal 17 is applied to a flip-flop 15 at its set terminal. Then, a counting sound generator 18b is driven to thereby generate a counted sound B. |
