PURPOSE:To take an image in wider range from narrower space for short time by a scintillation camera by shorting as short scanning length relative between the scintillation camera detector and an aritcle to be inspected as possible. CONSTITUTION:Before starting the scanning operation, only the end side ST of a strip S is moved. That is, while a scintillation camera detector is stopped, the end side ST of the strip S is electrically moved from the base side SB. When the end side ST is moved to predetermined position, it is stopped electrically, and the detector is started from this time. When it is stopped, the base side SB is electrically moved until it coincides with the end side ST after stopping the scanning operation.
