To give a reciprocating movement to the yarn guide on a bobbin winding machine, there is a slide riding in the groove of a drive cylinder following two counter spiral paths. The slide is a tubular segment with an outer dia. equal to or greater than the outer dia. of the grooved shaft and the inner dia. equal to or greater than the dia. of the shaft at the base of the engraved grooves. The slide width corresponds to the groove width so that there is an easy sliding movement with little free play. The ends are rounded by half the tube segment radius so that the inner and outer radii pass over the rounded ends where there are round studs with a dia. matching the slide width, and a length equal to or less than half the difference between the diameters of the drive shaft at its surface and at the groove base. The design ensures that there is minimum loading at the change-over points as the yarn guide follows its reciprocating path.
|
