Apparatus for fitting a pull tab on a slider body comprises a base 6, carrying a turret 1 having spaced circumferential recesses A, B,... for holding a slider body 2, assembling stations around the periphery of turret 1, turret 1 being intermittently rotatable to position recess A, B,... successively opposite each of the stations. Pull tab supply means includes a holder 5 on base 6, a vertical chute 8 supported by holder 5 for receiving longitudinally aligned pull tabs 4, 7,... and directing them toward a pull tab receiving portion 10 in recess B, and means for discharging pull tabs one by one from chute 8. Pull tab guiding means 11 is positioned between the chute outlet and the pull tab receiving portion of the recess may be advanced and retracted. Pull tab guiding means forms a channel (slots 37, 38) for pull tabs 4, 7,... discharged between outlet 9 of chute 8 and portion 10 of recess B when advanced and the channel is opened when retracted to release the pull tab. <IMAGE> |
