<p>The barbecue has a tilting hearth which can be used both as a grill and as a rotisserie. It has a frame with the shape of an inverted "U", the traverse possessing bushes in which a hinge bar can swivel. The bar is welded via brackets to the base of the hearth. A hand operated crank lever has an end passing through a hole in the traverse and supporting the hearth in its horizontal position. When the crank lever is rotated, the hearth tilts to a vertical position due to its own wt. A limit stop is pref. used to hold the crank lever for locking the hearth in its horizontal position; and the carrier for the spit is pref. located on the U-frame.</p> |
