<p>Machine for brushing suede or split skins confers a uniform direction of the short pile of the skins, using a rotary brush (4) driven by an electric motor (9). A structure supports the upper part of canopy (2) of a work table (3). The rotary brush is mounted in the canopy on bearings which allow a quick removal of the brush, either to turn it round, or to replace it. The brush is enclosed in a housing (5) to prevent the garment from winding round it. Air is sucked through the brush to remove detached shreds of leather and foreign matter or dirt. A telescopic vertical arm (14) maintains a curved plate (13) to support the skin under treatment. The machine replaces the tiring process of hand brushing for suede garments.</p> |
