PURPOSE:To facilitate the hermetic introduction of a gas and its removal, by introducing the gas into a cylinder as the expansion length of a rod remains large, then thrusting the rod in and rotating it or performing similar operation. CONSTITUTION:To assemble a cylinder unit, a rod 3 is inseted into a seal member carrier 8, a seal member 6 and a cylindrical member 5 sequentially. Then, a piston 2 is secured on the front end of the rod 3 by a screw 9. The rod 3 is inserted into a cylinder 1. The upper part of the cylinder 1 is calked at 1a to fix the cylindrical member 5. The open end of the cylinder 1 is calked at 1b to fix the seal member carrier 8. A projecting part 2c of the piston 2 is fitted in a recess 5b of the cylindrical member 5. A high-pressure gas is introduced into an opening 4 through the gap between the rod 3 and the lip 6a of the seal member 6 or the like. The rod 3 is thrusted in and rotated by about 90 deg. into a state shown in Fig. (B). As a result, the hermetic introduction of the gas is finished. |
