<p>The invention provides a compound of the formula wherein R is selected from hydroxymethyl, lower alkoxymethyl and lower alkenoxymethyl, M is selected from hydrogen, lower alkyl and alkali metal, M' is selected from hydrogen, lower alkyl, phenyl and alkali metal, z is zero or one, y is one or two, and x is zero or one, provided that the sum of z + y must equal two.
