<p>Process for the manufacture of 2-stilbenyl-1,2,3-triazoles of the formula by reacting a 2-tolyl-1,2,3-triazole of the formula with an anil of the formula wherein R1 to R5 and Ar1 are certain substituents in the presence of a strongly basic alkali compound in a strongly polar, neutral to basic organic solvent, novel 2-stilbenyl-1,2,3-triazoles as well as their use as fluorescent brighteners are described.</p> |
