<p>GLASS FURNACE A method and apparatus are disclosed for heating molten glass in a forehearth of a glass furnace connected to a plurality of feeder conduits. An electrode is positioned at the inlet of the forehearth and another electrode is positioned at the inlet of at least one of the feeder conduits. As a stream of molten glass is directed from the inlet of the forehearth to the inlet of the feeder conduit, the electrodes are energized to produce an electric current flow between the electrodes and through the molten glass stream to heat the glass.</p> |
