PURPOSE:To take the gap length between a recording electrode and recording medium longer and achieve the reduction of the cost based on easing of the specifications of the recording electrode holding means by finishing the electrode surface of the recording electrode rough and increasing the creeping distance between electrode conductors. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of electrode conductors 1 are enclosed by insulators 2 to constitute the recording electrode. A recording medium comprising disposing a dielectric layer 3 on a metal base 4 is opposing to the recording electrode surface by leaving a gap length G. Thereupon, the recording electrode and electrode surface of the recording electrode opposing to the recording medium is deliberately rough-finished by polishing, whereby the creeping distance L between the electrode conductors is made sufficiently larger than the inter-conductor distance l. As the creeping distance L is larger, the discharging between the electrode conductors becomes correspondingly harder to occur and therefore the gap length G may be made correspondingly larger, hence the specifications of the recording electrode holding device may be eased and the cost lowered even if the same resolution is obtained. |
