<p>chanodesethylapovincamines of formula (I) and their acid-addn. salts are new. In (I), R is H, opt. unsatd. 1-5C alkyl or benzyl; Z is H, halogen, alkyl, OH, acyloxy,carbamoyloxy or MeO. Cpds. (I) have antianoxic and psychotropic activity and are useful for treating behavioral disorders associated with cerebrovascular dysfunction, depression etc. They are also useful as intermediates for cpds. with such activity.</p> |
