<p>Described is a fluid metering device having a housing with a hollow interior and inlet and outlet openings respectively into and out of the hollow interior first pumping means within the hollow interior and displaceable under fluid pressure between the inlet and outlet openings from an 'inlet' position to an outlet position to pump fluid through the fluid outlet opening, biasing means tending to retain or restore the first pumping means to the 'inlet' position in use, and a passage communicating between the fluid inlet and outlet openings. Closure means are adapted to close the passage at the 'inlet' position and also during displacement of the first pumping means, under fluid pressure, from the 'inlet' position to the 'outlet' position and to open the passage at the outlet position and also during movement of the first pumping means from the 'outlet' position to the 'inlet' position. Second pumping means are actuated on movement of the first pumping means to meter a quantity of other fluid into the first mentioned fluid on each cycle of the first pumping means.</p> |
