<p>An electric signal or frequency generating device is provided to produce frequencies corresponding to the tone frequencies of the strings of the instrument to be tuned. An electromagnetic transducer excites the strings to resonate at the voltage representing their predetermined tone frequency. The frequency generator is preferably a piezo-electric high frequency oscillator. A switch for each string frequency is provided on the generator. To tune a string an adaptor head piece with a groove to hold the string is fixed on the finger board. The tuning peg is twisted until the string swings into a vibrating state. This indicates the correctly tuned tension.</p> |
