The packaging device for bottles with necks is constituted by a cardboard blank which is cut out and grooved in order to form a casing having a top wall (d), side walls (b, f), a bottom wall (pf), an oblique wall (e) disposed between each side wall (b, f) and the top wall (d), and frontal panels (39) articulated on the frontal edge of the top panel (d). Tuck strips (19) are connected by folding to the frontal edges of the side walls (b, f) and are located between the outside edge of a bottle and the corresponding side wall (b, f). This tuck strip (19) has gussets (12, 16, 34) at its top and bottom ends. The top gussets (34) are connected by folding to the panels (b, f, 39). The bottom gusset (12, 16) of the tuck strip (19) is connected directly by folding to the bottom wall (pf). The frontal edges of the side walls (b, f) and the articulation edge of the top wall (d) and of the corresponding frontal panel (39) are substantially in the same plane, the latter being recessed towards the inside of the package with respect to the frontal edge of the bottom wall (pf). <IMAGE>
