PURPOSE:To reduce the load of a SC and to realize the free shift to a sales transaction task by carrying out automatically a second loading action via a POS terminal controller in case a first loading action fails. CONSTITUTION:A POS terminal controller M contains a processing part D which loads the program of a POS terminal that can work in parallel with a sales transaction process, and a decision processing part E which decides the program loading result of the POS terminal. In case the program of the POS terminal is loaded with the start of an intra-store central processor SC, this loading result is reported to the SC. At the same time, the program is loaded again on the POS terminal with decision of the controller M in case the first loading action fails. Thus the second loading action of the program can be carried out with no request given from the SC and the POS terminal. Then the SC can be shifted to a sales transaction regardless of the program loading result. |
