<p>PURPOSE:To exactly relieve the load cell signal almost independently of the atmosphere of the rolling conditions, by memorizing the count value at the moment that the tail end of the rolled material passes over the hot metal detector, and by using the pulse value obtained from this count value. CONSTITUTION:In case of rolling the material in the direction 7, the count value P1 of the pulse counter 14 at the moment that the tail end of material passes over the hot metal detector (HMD) 19, and the count value P2 of the counter 14 at the moment that the tail end of material passes over the hot metal detector (HMD) 10, are respectively memorized in the electronic computer 13. According to formulas I, II, III, three pulse values PA, PB, PC, are calculated from these count values P1, P2. The detection accuracy, for the case of unstable signal being produced from the load cell 8, is improved depending on the count value PA. The action, against the case of inactive load cell 8 due to the insufficient rolling load, is taken depending on the count value PB. Besides, the count value PC is for the case of emergency, and is used in detecting that the load cell 8 can not be put off because of its trouble. That is, at the end point of counting the pulse value PC, if the load cell 8 is still being ON-state, the load cell 8 is judged to be in trouble.</p> |
