Copper infiltration prevention process into furnace wall - directs coolant jets against smelting furnace bottom

The process prevents deep copper infiltration into the wall of a smelting furnace producing copper directly from ores and ore concentrates. A coolant is delivered to the furnace bottom, being directed in jets against the wall. The individual layers forming the latter can have good heat conductivity, passages for the cooling being formed in the bottom. The process prevents overheating of the wall.
