Photo-mineralisation detector for adsorbed cpds. - with UV lamp inserted in double walled glass reactor

The photomineralisation of adsorbed chemical cpds. is determined in a reactor with a jacketed wall in two concentric parts. The inner part contains the adsorbent and the chemical cpds. and the outer part is used for water cooling. The UV lamp is arranged inside the reactor, symmetrically to its centre line. This provides a quick, time-, and cost- and material-saving way of determining the relative photolytic reducibility of organic cpds. in presence of reactant gases. No moving parts are present to present a risk of leakage. Only min. quantities of carriers and reactants are needed.
