A method of correction of phase shift in an multi-cavity klystron consisting in partial branching-off the signals from the output and intermediate resonators (4) and (3) of the klystron (1), adding up the branched off signals, their amplitudes and phases being so adjusted that under the rated operational conditions of the klystron (1) the amplitudes of the signals are equal and their phases are opposite to each other, feeding the resultant signal to the input resonator (2), subsequent changing of the anode voltage until a change of the phase shift is obtained and selecting such a phase of the resultant signal that the change of the phase shift in the klystron were reduced to a minimum. The device for implementing the method of correction of the phase shift comprises a line consisting of a phase shifter (5), an adder (6) and an additional phase shifter (7). One of the entries of the phase shifter (5) is interconnected with the output resonator (4) of the klystron (1), and another with the adder (6). The additional phase shifter (7) is interconnected with the input resonator (2) of the klystron (1) and with the adder (6), whereas the adder (6) is interconnected with the phase shifters (5, 7) and with the intermediate resonator (3) of the klystron. |
