<p>To mfr. cable strand of synthetic fibre filaments, untreated continuous filaments are first drawn to make them suitable for use. They are then cut or pulled apart without intermediate dwell time. Filaments are spun continuously to give sliver which is drawn, torn or cut and then laid into ordered and paralleled sliver form. Continuous filaments are given a cable ending by light crimping action, before they are torn or cut, or filaments can be crossed within the cable to give an ending. Additive, such as brightening agent, can be used to give the cable ending. a tearing machine or a cutter is mounted directly after the drawing unit to convert the material into a staple fibre sliver. System provides continuous and economic process, without damaging the fibres by melting or mechanical distortion.</p> |
