Waste water conveyance to lower sewers - involves float coupled to slide for varying outflow width release to avoid splashing and mechanical shock

The device is for use esp. in connection with urban sewage systems. The device provides for transfer of waste water from a high level (6) to a lower-lying channel, without plunging and rapid flow liable to release gases and noxious odours. A slide is coupled to a float (4) which enables it to release the requisite outflow cross-sectional width (6) as water levels vary. When there is a high flow of water the level (7) of the water on the high level is raised, raising the float and giving a large cross-section for water to escape under the slide. The device ensures that the connection shaft (2) remains full of water.
