Phenolic compds. and oligosaccharides were extd. from sunflower, cottonseed and soybean meals with solvent(n-BuOH and aq. HCl) in order to prep. protein concs. and isolates of increased parity. Defatted soybean meals were mixed with solvent for 15 min at 25≦̸C. A suspension was filtered through paper and the residue was reextn. 7 times. The product was dried 3 hr under N2 atm. This protein concn. can be processed to a light cream-colored protein isolate by extn. with ail. NaOH. |
