PURPOSE:To record the distinct images over a long period of time by using the toner having charge holdability and high electric resistance and multistylus electrode. CONSTITUTION:The toner T having the charge holdability and high electric resistance corresponding to the image density and resolution characteristic required is prepared. After the thin layer of the toner T is formed on the donor 1 surface whose at least surface part is conductive, the toner T layer is evened and evenly charged by the doctor 6 to which potential is applied from a doctor power source 7, after which the multistylus electrode 2 to which the specified potential is applied from a recording electrode 3 by pattern signals is contacted to the toner T layer to selectively implant charges. Thence, a recording sheet S is superposed on the toner T-layer having obtained the charging distribution corresponding to the pattern signals and electrostatic transfer is done to the transfer roller 4 to which the potential is applied from a transfer power source 5. Thereby, the recording of high image density free from ground stains may be obtained on the recording sheet S without corroding the multistylus electrode 2 through discharging. |
